"Andy's relaxed yet sometime provocative style is a welcome change from many trainers and he has a great grasp of the material. I wholeheartedly reccommend it to anyone who wishes to be more effective in their change work and it has to be the best value training I have ever attended."
Chris O'Donnell

Just Who Does Andrew T. Austin Think He Is?

Author of, "The Rainbow Machine - Tales from a Neurolinguist's Journal" Andrew was a registered nurse working in clinical neurology and neurosurgery and began his nursing career in Accident and Emergency. Working in A&E he quickly developed a strong reputation for working with the many psychiatric and mental health related emergencies that were frequently presented to the department. It was during this period in 1994 that he began training in hypnosis and therapy at the Royal Masonic Hospital in London and his interest in psychotherapy and neurolinguistics grew.

As a neurolinguist, Andrew T. Austin runs The West Sussex Hypnosis and NLP Study Group where he currently is focussing on neurology and the treatment of clinical conditions.

It is via his frequent writings, workshops and lectures that Andrew T. Austin is rapidly becoming known the leading NLP orientated therapist emphasising the neurological side of personal change and therapy.  His seminars and workshops are sought out by NLP practitioners, trainers and psychotherapists alike, seeking to deepen their knowledge and skills base of the neurological underpinnings of their work.

With many of his articles recommended by a number of leading universities as study material for psychology students, he is regularly consulted by television production and media companies regarding alternative psychology, hypnosis and neurological syndromes.

Andrew can be as controversial as he can be popular, and his services include one-to-one and group or family therapy as well as training/seminars. Andrew is often called on to advise families of clients who are under a compulsory treatment order of The Mental Health Act and he also works with families of such clients in a therapeutic and interventionist role.

With a busy private therapy practice in Chichester, West Sussex, UK, Andrew often works with clients who have failed to gain any benefit from previously therapeutic efforts that have often spanned many years. He emphasises the "keep it simple" approach and often finds that even the most complicated of psychological problems can be resolved with fairly simple approaches.

"Andrew Austin is clear, original, and outspoken about mental illness, medication, and psychiatry. His skills were honed by years of experience in the "trenches" of psychiatry, so he knows what he is talking about." Steve Andreas, author of "Transforming Your Self" and other books about therapy and personal change.

"Your presence, style and interaction with everyone was engaging, playful and fun ... which made the learning all that more enjoyable! I particularly liked the stories you told to illustrate (or is that to entertain!?!) certain points."  Midgie Thompson, Performance and Lifestyle Coach

"Andy's relaxed yet sometime provocative style is a welcome change from many trainers and he has a great grasp of the material. I wholeheartedly reccommend it to anyone who wishes to be more effective in their change work and it has to be the best value training I have ever attended." Chris O'Donnell

"[The]...course was excellent - I find your teaching style very easy to absorb, & every step of the way it is obvious to see the scope & depth of your knowledge, & the enthusiasm you give, to enlightening others who want to share that knowledge..." Simon Potipher

“Andy Austin is a true pioneer. His creation of the HIGHLY effective Integral Eye Movement Therapy is clearly well researched, tested and honed. Having trained with countless supposed ‘experts’ I can quite happily state Andy is one of the greatest minds I have ever had the good fortune to meet and learn from. His depth of understanding of the human mind, psychological conditions, the role of the therapist and the nature of the client is… ASTONISHING! I thoroughly recommend any therapist who is serious about therapy to train with Andy.” Michael Christon, internationally licensed NLP trainer and coach
